Applications
PP T4401's primary use is extrusion of PP-R pipe systems for hot and cold water distribution, along with the injection-molded fittings — elbows, tees, reducers, and couplings — that connect those systems. PP-R piping has displaced copper and galvanized steel across residential and commercial plumbing in much of Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. The material is inert to chlorinated potable water, scale-resistant, and heat-fusible without adhesives or mechanical connectors.
The PPR 100 certification T4401 holds from China's National Chemical Building Materials Testing Center is a legal prerequisite for installation in potable water systems in China — not a voluntary quality indicator. Store T4401 pellets in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse away from open flame and direct heat sources. Polypropylene is combustible; standard fire-prevention procedures for thermoplastic resin storage apply. Keep bags stacked on pallets, off the ground, and away from direct sunlight to prevent UV degradation of the packaging material and maintain pellet quality through the shelf life of the batch.
