Applications
Blow-molded PE/PP film. Blown film leaves the die hot and is collapsed while still tacky, which is exactly the condition that produces block. MKO101 at 1–3% breaks the surface contact between plies so the layflat opens cleanly at the bag machine, without the wound roll telescoping or tearing on unwind.
Multilayer co-extruded packaging film. Co-extruded structures often carry a sealant layer that is chemically designed to stick, and the outer layers must stay printable. Because MKO101 does not exude to the surface, converters can dose it into the outer skin layers for opening performance while preserving ink anchorage and adhesive lamination bond on the same web.
Cast PE/PP film. Cast lines run fast, and friction at the chill roll and downstream rollers limits how fast they can run. The low coefficient of friction MKO101 imparts reduces drag through the winding path and improves scratch resistance on films where optical clarity is the selling point.
Biaxially oriented polyethylene film. BOPE stretching thins the web and increases intimate surface contact between layers on the roll, making block a persistent problem. Fine, well-dispersed opening agent particles create the necessary surface microtexture without generating the crystal points that would show as defects in a thin, highly transparent film.
Why Choose BASTONE
BASTONE manufactures MKO101 — the product does not pass through a trading house before reaching the buyer. Production runs at BASTONE's own Hangzhou facility, part of a group operating 4 production sites and 1 R&D center, which means batch records, raw material sourcing, and quality release all sit under one roof. When a converter reports a crystal point issue or an opening performance shortfall, BASTONE's chemists can trace it to a specific production batch and process condition.
R&D depth matters for additive masterbatches more than for commodity resins. BASTONE's formulation team adjusts opening agent type, loading, and particle size for buyers running unusual film structures — thin-gauge BOPE, heavy-print laminates, or food-contact grades with specific migration limits. Pure distributors cannot make those changes; they resell whatever the producer supplies.
Direct manufacturer pricing removes the intermediary margin that sits on most Chinese masterbatch exports. BASTONE Petrochem handles the commercial side through Zhejiang Bastone Technology Co., Ltd, an export platform with 10+ years of documentation and logistics experience across container loading, port coordination, and trade term flexibility. Buyers who also source petrochemical feedstocks and polymer resins can consolidate additive masterbatch purchases into the same supply relationship.
