Description

DMDA-8008 comes from PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Company's 600,000-ton-per-year full-density polyethylene plant in Xinjiang. The Unipol gas-phase fluidized-bed process is the production route — a technology known for tight molecular weight distribution control and consistent pellet quality across production runs. Polymerization-grade ethylene serves as the base monomer; butene-1 enters as the comonomer to modify the polymer's short-chain branching profile. A titanium-based catalyst system drives the reaction.

An MFR of 7.24 g/10min at 2.16 kg load places DMDA-8008 in the mid-to-high flow range for injection-grade HDPE. At processing temperatures of 190–230°C, the material fills complex, thin-walled mold geometries with consistent flow fronts. Cap tooling in particular — multi-cavity hot-runner systems cycling under 10 seconds — requires that kind of fill predictability to avoid short shots and knit-line defects at production speeds.

Density is specified at 956 kg/m³, reflecting high crystallinity and the stiffness that comes with it.
