PetroChina HDPE DGDX-6095 — Film Grade Resin for Puncture-Resistant Packaging

DGDX-6095 is a high-density polyethylene resin manufactured by PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Company using the Unipol gas-phase fluidized-bed process. With butene-1 as comonomer and a chromium catalyst system, the grade delivers the combination of tensile strength and elongation that blown film converters need when puncture resistance is a hard requirement.

BASTONE Petrochem sources DGDX-6095 directly from PetroChina allocation with full COA documentation traceable to the Dushanzi production batch.

Description

DGDX-6095 is produced at Dushanzi Petrochemical Company's 600,000-ton-per-year full-density polyethylene plant in Xinjiang. Polymerization-grade ethylene serves as the primary feedstock, with butene-1 introduced as comonomer to modify the short-chain branching distribution. Chromium catalyst drives the polymerization, then the resin passes through degassing, granulation, and packaging before shipment.

A density of 951 kg/m³ places DGDX-6095 firmly in the HDPE range, yet the measured tensile strain at break of 800% signals extensibility that most HDPE grades at this density do not reach. The resin holds 25 MPa at the yield point and climbs to 38 MPa at break — giving film converters a material that resists tearing under the biaxial stresses of bubble extrusion rather than fracturing at the onset of deformation.

The melt flow rate of 11.04 g/10 min (measured at 21.6 kg load) reflects the flow behavior typical of blown film HDPE grades processed on standard extrusion lines. At this MFR level, temperature management across barrel and die zones is important: the recommended barrel range of 190–230°C and die range of 200–220°C keep the melt within the processing window without thermal degradation.

The Unipol process combined with a Cr catalyst system tends to produce a broad molecular weight distribution. Converters running high-speed blown film lines generally find this distribution helpful — melt strength holds at elevated bubble heights, and line speed adjustments are less likely to destabilize the bubble than with narrow-distribution grades processed at comparable MFR.

BASTONE distributes DGDX-6095 with COA documentation tied to specific Dushanzi production batches. Procurement teams whose converters require trace-back to source plant and production date have reliable documentation on every shipment — a level of traceability that spot-market purchases from non-authorized channels cannot consistently deliver.

Applications

PetroChina specifies blown film as the primary processing route for DGDX-6095, targeting film structures where puncture resistance governs grade selection.

Heavy-duty packaging film is the volume application. Converters producing bags for agricultural inputs, construction materials, or industrial components need a film that holds integrity when sharp edges and corner loads put the surface under point stress. An 800% elongation at break prevents tear propagation from initiating at a puncture site, and the 38 MPa break strength keeps the film carrying load well past the yield point rather than failing suddenly.

FFS bags for bulk and heavy-duty repacking draw on the same properties. On form-fill-seal lines, a filled bag must survive drop impact and stacking pressure without splitting at the seal or corner — the combination of 25 MPa yield strength and 800% elongation lets the FFS bag absorb that impact energy through stretching.

Shopping and T-shirt bags carry tensile load at the handle zone and base seam simultaneously. The climbing stress-strain curve allows thin-wall, downgauged construction while distributing stress across the film rather than concentrating it at a notch or seam.

Zero colored particles supports applications where appearance consistency matters to end-brand owners, particularly retail packaging where visual defects reach the consumer.

Why Source Through BASTONE

DGDX-6095 shipment logistics
Every DGDX-6095 shipment is backed by batch-traceable COA documentation from Dushanzi production.

BASTONE Petrochem holds listed distributor status with PetroChina — China's largest petrochemical producer and the parent organization of Dushanzi Petrochemical Company. Listed status means BASTONE operates on contracted production allocation, not spot procurement. Supply continuity during plant maintenance windows or peak demand periods is managed at the allocation level, not by competing in the open market after the fact.

BASTONE's parent group operates four production sites and an independent R&D center in Hangzhou Economic Development Zone. BASTONE's commercial team carries genuine technical depth from that manufacturing background — buyers can discuss grade selection for specific film structures, qualification requirements, or processing equipment constraints with staff who understand polymer processing directly, not only logistics.

Export operations run through Zhejiang Bastone Technology Co., Ltd, with over 10 years of cross-border chemical export experience. Documentation — COA, MSDS, bill of lading, packing list, inspection certificates — is handled in-house. Buyers sourcing through multi-layer trading intermediaries frequently encounter delays and inconsistencies in documentation packages; BASTONE eliminates that coordination layer.
