| 2% | Comparative performance data provided by the manufacturer at 2% addition |
The manufacturer's datasheet documents rigidity, gloss, crystallization rate, and toughness at both 1% and 2% loading. BASTONE technical staff will recommend the specific level for a given resin grade and part geometry on request. No further processing conditions are specified in the datasheet.
Applications
Operator dosing stiffening masterbatch into an extruder hopper on a PP sheet production line.
Polypropylene injection molding. Thin-wall containers, closures, housewares, crates, and automotive interior components all benefit from the rigidity gain, because a stiffer part tolerates a thinner wall. The shorter cycle from earlier crystallization compounds the saving: less resin per part and more parts per hour from the same machine. Improved gloss removes the need for a separate surface-enhancing additive in visible parts.
Polypropylene extrusion. Sheet, thermoformed packaging, and profile extrusion depend on stiffness to hold shape after forming. CAM-3080 lets extruders run reduced gauge on sheet destined for thermoforming without the finished tray or lid going soft, and the higher heat deflection temperature keeps thermoformed packaging stable through hot-fill and warm-storage conditions.
Heat-exposed PP parts. Anywhere a PP component sees elevated temperature in service — hot-fill food packaging, appliance parts, containers shipped through hot climates — the near-20°C heat deflection gain provides the working margin. Parts that previously softened or deformed under those conditions hold geometry.
Cost-reduction programs on existing tooling. Because CAM-3080 works as a let-down masterbatch at low loading, processors apply it to running production without changing resin supplier or retooling. The combination of downgauging and faster cycles is where the return shows up.
Why Choose BASTONE
Lab testing of molded PP bars for COA release, with palletized masterbatch bags in the warehouse beyond.
BASTONE manufactures CAM-3080 at its own Hangzhou production facility. Buying from BASTONE means buying from the company that formulates, compounds, and tests the product — not from a trading house passing through someone else's masterbatch. Full quality control sits inside the same organization that owns the formulation, so batch consistency and specification questions get answered by the people who make the material.
BASTONE operates as an R&D-oriented chemical group with 4 production sites and 1 R&D center. In-house formulation and testing capability means CAM-3080 can be adjusted for a customer's specific PP grade, part geometry, or processing window rather than sold as a fixed catalog item. Chemists at the R&D center run the same rigidity, crystallization, gloss, and toughness comparisons on customer resin that produced the reference data on the datasheet.
Direct manufacturer pricing follows from the same structure. There is no distributor markup between the production line and the export invoice. Export runs through Zhejiang Bastone Technology Co., Ltd, backed by more than 10 years of export experience — flexible trade terms, packaging adapted to the buyer's handling setup, and documentation prepared correctly the first time. BASTONE coordinates booking, loading, and shipping documents so procurement teams are not managing three separate parties to move one container.
