Applications
DGDZ 3606 is qualified for PE-RT Type I pipe extrusion, with primary use in hot water distribution and radiant floor heating systems. The PE-RT designation — Polyethylene of Raised Temperature Resistance — identifies a class of HDPE engineered with specific comonomer insertion and molecular weight architecture to sustain continuous service at water temperatures that would degrade standard pipe-grade HDPE over time.
Floor heating pipe runs embedded in screed beneath tile, stone, or floating floors. Operating conditions combine moderate pressure — typically 0.4–0.8 MPa — with continuous hot water circulation at 60–70°C and intermittent peaks above that range. Replacement of embedded floor heating pipe requires full floor demolition, which means long-term oxidative stability is a primary specification concern, not a secondary one. An OIT of 71.0 minutes at 210°C indicates the antioxidant package in DGDZ 3606 survives both the extrusion process and decades of thermal cycling in service.
The grade also applies to hot water supply lines in residential and commercial HVAC distribution systems, hydronic heating manifold connections, and underfloor heating collector loops. Pipe producers working to EN ISO 22391 or GB/T 28799 pipe certification specify PE-RT Type I resins qualified under the same Q/SY DS 129-2022 production standard that governs DGDZ 3606.
Handling, Storage & Safety Guidelines
DGDZ 3606 pellets present no significant acute hazard under normal handling and processing conditions. Intact pellets require no special respiratory protection. Conveying and bulk transfer operations can generate nuisance polyethylene dust; standard industrial ventilation and dust control measures apply. Keep the material away from strong oxidizing agents and ignition sources — polyethylene is combustible and should be stored in compliance with local fire codes for combustible solids.
Store in original sealed packaging in a cool, dry location with adequate ventilation, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Sealed bags prevent moisture uptake, which can cause surface defects and bubble formation during extrusion. Processing temperatures during pipe extrusion typically reach 180–220°C; adequate ventilation of the processing area is required to manage any thermal decomposition products at elevated temperature.
No special spill response procedures apply to the pelletized form — recover mechanically and dispose according to local regulations. The full PetroChina Dushanzi Safety Data Sheet, covering complete GHS classification, exposure limits, and disposal requirements, is available upon request.
Why Source Through BASTONE
BASTONE Petrochem distributes DGDZ 3606 through its direct relationship with PetroChina's distribution network, which covers Dushanzi Petrochemical production. Batch-traceable COA documentation accompanies every shipment — not a generic distributor certificate, but documentation tied to the specific production batch number, inspection date, and Dushanzi quality seal. Buyers who require mill-level traceability for pipe certification audits receive exactly that.
The parent BASTONE group operates its own R&D center and four manufacturing sites. That production background means the commercial team understands polymer processing, not just logistics. When procurement engineers have questions about grade selection for a specific pipe extrusion setup — comparing DGDZ 3606 against other PE-RT Type I resins in PetroChina's portfolio, or evaluating whether a given MFR range suits their line speed — BASTONE provides technically grounded answers.
Export operations run through Zhejiang Bastone Technology Co., Ltd, an established platform with experience handling polyethylene shipments to pipe producers across Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The platform adapts to different trade terms, packaging configurations, third-party inspection requirements, and documentation formats. FCL, LCL, and bulk container bag options are all available depending on order volume and destination port.
