Technical Properties
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Function | Interfacial lubricating layer at die and barrel surfaces |
| Effect on interfacial tension | Reduces tension between PE melt and die |
| Effect on head pressure | Reduces extruder head pressure |
| Effect on shear stress | Reduces shear stress; improves melt stability |
| Melt fracture | Eliminated |
| Die buildup | Reduced; extended interval between die cleanings |
| Black speck formation | Reduced probability |
| Optical properties | Film transparency and surface gloss maintained |
| Food-contact compliance | FDA and GB certified |
The manufacturer datasheet does not publish numeric values for melt flow rate, density, or moisture. BASTONE's technical team supplies a batch-specific COA on request, and sample quantities are available for line trials before a commercial order.
Recommended Processing Conditions
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Standard dosage | 0.5–1.5% |
| Recommended dosage, steady state | 1.0% |
| Minimum dosage, steady state | 0.5% |
| Start-up / conditioning dosage | 1.5–2.5% |
| Screw preparation before first use | Clean the screw prior to introducing the masterbatch |
| Dosing practice | Increase the dosage before shutdown and again after start-up |
Dosage sits at the converter's discretion within the published range — film quality target, equipment, and process conditions all move the optimum. On first use, run 1.5–2.5% to build the protective layer across the screw, barrel, and die. Once the coating is established, step the dosage down toward 1.0%, and to 0.5% on lines that hold quality at the lower rate.
One behavior during the first run is expected rather than a fault: the masterbatch scours gels out of the barrel, and the released material makes bubbles break more easily until the system clears.
Applications
Polyethylene blown film. Blown film lines running LLDPE and mLLDPE hit melt fracture at commercially useful output rates, and the surface defect caps line speed long before the extruder does. PPAM-PE7003 removes the constraint by cutting interfacial tension at the die lip, so the converter recovers both the surface quality and the throughput. Reduced die buildup matters just as much on long production runs — die lip cleaning on a blown film tower is a full line stop.
Polyethylene cast film. Cast film demands optical performance that survives inspection: haze, gloss, and clarity all get measured on the finished web. The processing aid maintains transparency and surface gloss while suppressing die lines and melt fracture, so the film meets optical specification without the converter dropping output or raising melt temperature. Lower shear stress across the die also reduces black speck generation, which on a transparent cast film is a visible reject.
Polyethylene blow molding. Hollow-formed polyethylene parts benefit from the same interfacial mechanism. Reduced friction and improved melt stability give a cleaner parison surface and more consistent wall distribution, and the extended die cleaning interval carries directly into equipment uptime.
Extrusion coating. Coating lines apply thin polyethylene layers onto paper, board, or film substrates, where edge instability and melt fracture translate into coating weight variation. Lowering the melt's viscoelastic response at the die gives a more stable curtain and a more uniform coat weight across the web.
Why Choose BASTONE
BASTONE manufactures PPAM-PE7003 at its own Hangzhou Economic Development Zone facility rather than sourcing it and relabeling it. The compounding line, the raw material qualification, and the finished-batch testing all sit inside the group. When a customer reports a dosage response that does not match the datasheet, the question lands with the chemists who wrote the formulation — not with a sales desk that has to forward it upstream and wait.
The group is R&D-oriented by structure: 4 production sites and 1 R&D center, staffed with chemists and technicians who develop formulations across organic chemicals, polymers, and specialty additives. For PPAM-PE7003, that depth means BASTONE can adjust the active-to-synergist ratio or the carrier resin to match a specific base polymer or a specific line, which a pure trading house cannot offer at any price.
Buying from the manufacturer removes a markup layer. BASTONE quotes export pricing directly from the plant, and Zhejiang Bastone Technology Co., Ltd handles the export side — trade term flexibility, packaging to the customer's warehouse requirements, container loading, and shipping documentation. The same platform serves BASTONE's petrochemical distribution business, including its listed SINOPEC distributor status, so multi-category buyers consolidate masterbatch and base resin purchasing under one supplier relationship and one set of export paperwork.
