Recommended Processing Conditions
| Stage | Procedure |
|---|---|
| First-time use | Clean the screw before introduction |
| Conditioning phase | Add 1.5–2.5% to build the protective layer on screw, barrel, and die |
| Normal running | Reduce to 1% recommended; 0.5% minimum |
| Before shutdown | Increase addition ratio |
| After start-up | Increase addition ratio |
| Expected initial behavior | Crystals in the discharge tank clear out; bubbles may break easily — normal during conditioning |
Applications
Polyethylene blown film. Blown film lines suffer most from melt fracture, because the die gap runs narrow and shear rates at the die lip stay high. MJG101 addresses the defect at its origin — the lubricating layer at the die wall drops the wall shear stress below the critical point where sharkskin appears. Converters typically see the bubble surface clear within the conditioning window, then hold the improvement at 0.5–1% dosage. Lower head pressure at constant output also gives the line headroom to push throughput or drop melt temperature.
Polyethylene cast film. Cast film demands optical clarity above almost everything else, since the film usually ends up laminated or printed. MJG101 maintains transparency and surface gloss while suppressing die lines and buildup, so the chill roll receives a clean, uniform web. Reduced die head accumulation matters more on cast lines than most operators expect — deposits at the die lip transfer to the film as streaks that no downstream process can correct.
Polyethylene hollow molding. Blow molding for containers and industrial parts runs at high shear through the parison die. Reduced shear stress and improved melt stability translate into more consistent parison wall thickness and fewer black specks in the finished part. Extended intervals between die cleaning cut changeover downtime on multi-cavity blow molding lines.
Coating and extrusion coating processes. Applications where PE is extruded onto a substrate share the same die-wall physics as film. The polymeric lubricating layer keeps the coating weight uniform and prevents edge instability that shows up as coating weight variation across the web.
Why Choose BASTONE
BASTONE manufactures MJG101. The masterbatch is not sourced, rebranded, or repackaged — BASTONE compounds it at the Hangzhou Economic Development Zone facility under its own quality control system, with batch records and COA documentation issued directly by the producing plant. Buyers deal with the company that owns the formulation, which means specification questions get technical answers rather than a forwarded email.
The R&D center behind the product gives BASTONE room to adjust. The parent group runs 4 production sites and 1 R&D center staffed with chemists working across organic chemicals, polymers, and specialty additives. When a converter's resin grade, die geometry, or line speed calls for a modified additive ratio or a different synergist balance, BASTONE's formulators can evaluate the request against actual production data instead of quoting a fixed catalog product.
Manufacturer-direct pricing removes the trading house margin from the landed cost, and export runs through Zhejiang Bastone Technology Co., Ltd., BASTONE's own export platform with 10+ years of shipping experience. Trade terms, packaging format, and container loading adapt to the buyer's requirements. BASTONE's petrochemical division also distributes SINOPEC resin grades as a listed distributor, so converters sourcing both PE resin and processing aid can consolidate onto a single supplier and a single set of shipping documents.
