Operativamente, es un estado documental: trazable al lote del productor, generaci\u00f3n cero, sin mezcla de regrind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La etiqueta es una abreviatura de un rastro documental, no un pol\u00edmero diferente. Los pellets v\u00edrgenes y los molidos una vez del mismo reactor pueden ser qu\u00edmicamente id\u00e9nticos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lo que los separa es la cadena del COA que vincula el lote con su primera salida del reactor. Para adquisiciones, esa distinci\u00f3n es el par\u00e1metro de decisi\u00f3n completo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lo que el Polipropileno Virgen Excluye en un COA Real<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"\/es\/product-category\/synthetic-resin\/pp\/\">Polipropileno virgen<\/a> descarta tres cosas en un lote leg\u00edtimo:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>contenido reciclado posconsumo (PCR)<\/li>\n<li>molienda posindustrial (PIR) mezclada de nuevo en la resina<\/li>\n<li>material fuera de especificaci\u00f3n o retrabajo que el productor podr\u00eda reincorporar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un lote virgen sale del reactor, se peletiza y se env\u00eda bajo un COA del productor. Ese COA nombra la l\u00ednea del reactor, la fecha de producci\u00f3n, los valores probados para MFI, densidad, propiedades de tracci\u00f3n y contenido de cenizas, m\u00e1s un n\u00famero de lote \u00fanico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los valores \u201ct\u00edpicos\u201d gen\u00e9ricos sin n\u00fameros de lote ni fechas de prueba son una se\u00f1al de alerta. Ese tipo de documentaci\u00f3n nunca saldr\u00eda de <a href=\"https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/es\/what-is-polypropylene-resin\/\">un productor de resina de polipropileno<\/a> que ejecuta un grado virgen a trav\u00e9s del control de calidad normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La <a href=\"\/es\/polypropylene-virgin-resin-vs-recycled\/\">distinci\u00f3n entre PIR y PCR<\/a> es donde los documentos de adquisiciones se vuelven descuidados. La molienda posindustrial es chatarra de fabricaci\u00f3n y recortes de desecho, m\u00e1s limpia y consistente que el PCR, pero no es contenido reciclado seg\u00fan est\u00e1ndares como GRS (Est\u00e1ndar Global de Reciclado).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un proveedor que escribe \u201csin PCR\u201d en una cotizaci\u00f3n no significa autom\u00e1ticamente que la resina sea virgen. El PIR a\u00fan podr\u00eda mezclarse en una proporci\u00f3n conocida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Existen tres estados: virgen, PIR, PCR, y la documentaci\u00f3n debe distinguir los tres expl\u00edcitamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Productores estatales chinos como PetroChina Dushanzi y Sinopec env\u00edan grados frescos del reactor: T4401 copol\u00edmero aleatorio para tuber\u00eda PP-R, T30S homopol\u00edmero para monofilamento, con un COA que coincide con la hoja de datos del productor para cada lote. Ese es el patr\u00f3n can\u00f3nico de suministro virgen: trazabilidad a nivel de lote hasta un complejo de reactor nombrado, sin reprocesamiento de un compounder intermedio en la cadena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1376\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-1.png\" alt=\"Diagrama que compara el polipropileno virgen, el regrind postindustrial y las corrientes de resina reciclada posconsumo\" class=\"wp-image-934\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-1.png 1376w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-1-300x167.png 300w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-1-1024x572.png 1024w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-1-768x429.png 768w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-1-600x335.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1376px) 100vw, 1376px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lo que un COA de PP Virgen Debe Documentar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un Certificado de An\u00e1lisis de PP virgen debe documentar cuatro cosas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>el n\u00famero de lote \u00fanico<\/li>\n<li>la fecha de producci\u00f3n<\/li>\n<li>valores probados seg\u00fan ASTM D1238 (MFI) y ASTM D792 (densidad)<\/li>\n<li>la l\u00ednea del reactor o unidad de producci\u00f3n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El n\u00famero de lote es lo que hace que el resto sea significativo. Sin \u00e9l, no se puede rastrear un problema hacia atr\u00e1s, no se puede emparejar el lote con una ventana de vida \u00fatil y no se puede probar que la generaci\u00f3n = 0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El PP almacenado adecuadamente tiene una <a href=\"\/es\/shelf-life-polypropylene-resin\/\">vida \u00fatil de hasta dos a\u00f1os<\/a>, y eso solo importa si el COA lleva la fecha que inici\u00f3 el reloj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El seguimiento de generaci\u00f3n es la raz\u00f3n m\u00e1s profunda por la que la documentaci\u00f3n del virgen tiene peso. Cada paso de procesamiento (compounding, molienda, reprocesamiento) es un ciclo de degradaci\u00f3n, y el regrind repeletizado agrega un paso de calor que agrava la p\u00e9rdida de propiedades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sin el seguimiento de generaci\u00f3n, nadie sabe cu\u00e1ntas veces un lote de regrind ya ha sido reprocesado, especialmente cuando se mezcla una proporci\u00f3n de virgen a regrind en el compounder. El virgen es el \u00fanico estado donde la generaci\u00f3n = 0 es verificable a partir de la documentaci\u00f3n del productor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Califico los grados v\u00edrgenes de doble fuente de la misma manera cada vez. Tomo tres COA de la segunda fuente, comparo cada valor con el promedio m\u00f3vil del proveedor principal, luego me comprometo solo despu\u00e9s de que la l\u00ednea ejecute los tres lotes limpiamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si el COA muestra el MFI en el borde de la especificaci\u00f3n, solicite los datos de distribuci\u00f3n de peso molecular antes de aceptar el lote. La paridad documental no es paridad en la l\u00ednea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1376\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-2.png\" alt=\"Certificado de An\u00e1lisis del productor junto a una bolsa de muestra de pellets de polipropileno virgen\" class=\"wp-image-933\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-2.png 1376w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-2-300x167.png 300w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-2-1024x572.png 1024w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-2-768x429.png 768w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-2-600x335.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1376px) 100vw, 1376px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cu\u00e1ndo el Polipropileno Virgen es un Requisito Regulatorio vs una Preferencia de Consistencia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El virgen es un requisito legal cuando la aplicaci\u00f3n cae bajo uno de tres est\u00e1ndares:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 (contacto con alimentos)<\/li>\n<li>USP Clase VI (dispositivo m\u00e9dico)<\/li>\n<li>NSF 61 (sistemas de agua potable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El polipropileno natural (virgen) cumple con USP Clase VI, USP 85, USP 88 y USP 661 y cumple con FDA 21 CFR 177.1520(a) y (c). El PP reciclado o \u201cblanco\u201d no tiene la clasificaci\u00f3n USP Clase VI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NSF 61 prueba extractables y metales pesados; la aplicaci\u00f3n es a nivel estatal (California, Massachusetts), pero el est\u00e1ndar en s\u00ed es la puerta de entrada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un matiz confunde a los especificadores que leen el est\u00e1ndar en fr\u00edo. El cumplimiento de la FDA se refiere al material, no a la pieza terminada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una resina compatible con USP Clase VI pierde su estatus si la pieza se maneja en un entorno no controlado aguas abajo. La cadena de documentaci\u00f3n debe extenderse m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del lote de resina hasta el proceso del convertidor: el grado virgen es necesario, no suficiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fuera del tr\u00edo regulado, la distinci\u00f3n entre virgen y mezclado con PIR es una cuesti\u00f3n de consistencia, no legal. Las l\u00edneas de tuber\u00eda, bolsas tejidas y moldeo por inyecci\u00f3n general funcionan perfectamente con PIR de primera calidad en proporciones conocidas cuando la aplicaci\u00f3n no tiene preocupaci\u00f3n por extractables o migraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para <a href=\"https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/es\/decide-between-three-main-grades-polypropylene-resin\/\">la selecci\u00f3n de grado dentro del virgen<\/a> \u2014 homopol\u00edmero versus copol\u00edmero aleatorio versus copol\u00edmero de impacto \u2014 la elecci\u00f3n se establece por las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas y de procesamiento, con la documentaci\u00f3n virgen como l\u00ednea base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1376\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-3.png\" alt=\"Recipiente para alimentos, accesorio m\u00e9dico y tuber\u00eda de agua potable hechos de polipropileno virgen\" class=\"wp-image-932\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-3.png 1376w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-3-300x167.png 300w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-3-1024x572.png 1024w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-3-768x429.png 768w, https:\/\/bastone-petrochem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/what-is-virgin-polypropylene-3-600x335.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1376px) 100vw, 1376px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lo que la Mayor\u00eda de los Documentos de Adquisiciones Hacen Mal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El error com\u00fan es tratar \u201cvirgen\u201d como una propiedad qu\u00edmica que el laboratorio puede verificar. No puede: los pellets v\u00edrgenes y molidos una vez del mismo reactor son qu\u00edmicamente indistinguibles sin documentaci\u00f3n de seguimiento de generaci\u00f3n aguas arriba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Audite la cadena del COA antes del lote, no el pellet despu\u00e9s, y escriba el estado de tres v\u00edas del proveedor (proporci\u00f3n virgen \/ PIR \/ PCR) en la orden de compra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seis meses despu\u00e9s, cuando llegue un lote con un cambio fraccional de MFI, la cadena de documentaci\u00f3n es lo \u00fanico que le dice si compr\u00f3 lo que especific\u00f3.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A buyer reading &#8220;virgin PP&#8221; on a producer spec sheet usually treats it as a chemistry claim.
